Twenty Gift of Years Chaplains and Volunteers met together for a day at The Lighthouse Methodist Church. The purpose of the day was to integrate the newly trained volunteers into the existing team. We had a good day together reflecting on Isaiah 35
‘The desert and the parched land will be glad, the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like a crocus it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy.
We played team building games and built bridges as well as sharing in a delicious buffet lunch and sharing in prayer and worship together.
New volunteers are now ready for their inductions into the care homes.
