Due to the outbreak of Covid-19, The Gift of Years Team have suspended all their visits and activities within the residential care homes until further notice.
The Gift of Years Team are continuing their ministry of prayer for the care homes and are available to speak to by telephone.
Our phone number and contact form can be found by going to our Contact us page.
…..Instead of taking services in care homes, the team are making video services for the care homes to enable residents to continue to worship. These videos are available on You Tube and can be found on the videos section of our website.
Who Are We?
We are a team of Christians from local churches who have been commissioned by Revive Rugby. We aim to show the love of God, through our pastoral and spiritual care of residents, relatives and staff in residential care homes for older people.
To provide for the spiritual care of residents, relatives and staff.
To be a non-judgmental, supportive, listening presence to people of all faiths and none, giving people time to share memories, stories and faith journeys.
To help people find purpose, meaning and growth in life and death.
To work with the local churches to enable worship and sacramental ministry.
To share best practice, creative ideas and resources.
How can you help ?
There are three ways:-
You can become part of The Gift of Years Rugby as...
A Gift of Years Chaplain
Volunteer chaplains work at least half a day per week in one care home, caring for the pastoral needs of the residents, relatives and staff.
A Gift of Years Volunteer
Volunteers assist the chaplains by helping with visiting and befriending residents, helping with services of worship and engaging in some activities according to their own availability.
All of our volunteers are supported by the Lead Chaplain and are trained to prepare for this ministry. They meet monthly as a team for ongoing training, support and fellowship.
For further details of our Team Training visit our Training page.

Invitation to become a Prayer Partner
The residential care homes are in great need of our prayers at this difficult time and so we are looking to develop a team of prayer partners who will pray with us and who will continue to underpin our ministry in the care homes with prayer once we start up again.
